It’s all change at The Fountain Bar in Aberfeldy Square now that Duncan and Eileen Campbell have retired after nearly 18 years behind the bar. The new owners were all originally local to Aberfeldy and have family in the area, but went off to pursue their various careers.
The new ownership trio is Scott McBride, Gavin Price and Harry Johnston, but it will be Gavin who will be responsible for the day-to-day running of this popular bar. The regular bar staff have been retained and the boys are already busy welcoming punters old and new.
Duncan told Comment, “We thank all the customers and staff over the years, who have supported us so well. I wish the boys all the best in the future.”
Family member Ally Campbell, who worked alongside Duncan and Eileen, is returning to his old trade and is once again picking up his joinery tools. Duncan said, “you will still see me around town, busy with my other interests, Eileen will be semi-retired as she has to look after me in my old age!”
