Oktober's Local Art, Craft & Design Campaign

Mark Wood, owner of Oktober Interiors in Pitlochry, maintains that the business is already achieving that elusive quality - being different. One of the key goals in this is, he reports, to support local art, craft and design.

He told Comment “Our customers want fine hand-crafted products made locally. Our store provides a broad selection of quality home and garden wares that can be used to create your own signature style. The inclusion of home grown products is a new and very welcome addition to our range.

Oktober Interiors now stocks a wide selection of art from Artists Together; hand crafted wooden gifts and home wares made from locally sourced sustainable wood from Faskally and Ranoch, as well as hand made soft furnishings using Glen Lyon Tweed.

“Together with providing a valuable service to our local and visiting customers, we are also keen to reduce our carbon footprint,” said Mark, “sourcing products locally reduces carbon emissions and congestion on our roads as well as retaining the economical benefits within Highland Perthshire and Scotland.”

“We are looking for new and exciting products to complement our range, so if you are a professional or amateur artist, craftsman or designer then we would love to hear from you and see if your products fit in with our range.”

Oktober Interior’s new website is soon to be launched, where products from Highland Perthshire will be promoted to the rest of the world. Anyone interested in supplying products to Oktober Interiors should contact Mark on 01796 470 555.
