'Once Upon A Time': Launch

A new ‘children’s bookshop with a difference’ will be opened on Saturday 1 March by Caroline Bavey of Pitlochry who has had a lot of experience and training in storytelling.
It is to be hosted every Saturday in March by Café Biba, Atholl Road Pitlochry, and will include story sessions at 11am and 2.30pm.

The bookshop has been set up to offer the local area something new for children and parents to do, offer high quality books at highly discounted prices and to enable children to open their imaginations through words and play.
“Customers at the bookshop can enjoy a coffee and cake or maybe catch some lunch, whilst making a decision on their purchase, and feel comfortable that the children are involved in a world of imagination,” Caroline told Comment.

Mobile Operation
The area she is hoping to cover is Aberfeldy to Pitlochry including Rannoch, Struan and Blair Atholl.
“We are hoping, as we are mobile, to set up at any event that people might wish to hold and to offer free storytelling sessions and to include a book sale afterwards - such as at toddler, playgroup, nursery, schools groups and libraries etc,” Caroline added..
She currently stocks over 500 books from stories for all ages to education-but -fun learning books, and she hopes to include in the future a full Christian children’s section.
For a free story session people are encouraged to contact Caroline on 01796470472 or email caroline75@fsmail.net
