Welcome Back to Country Fare

Those wondering if Country Fare, in Aberfeldy’s Bridgend, would ever open its doors for business again, will be happy that not only is it open but, under new management, promises ‘to be better than ever’.

With a fresh, new interior and great menu to match, Maria Johnston of Aberfeldy reports she is “happy to be back behind the counter”. Maria worked at Country Fayre when it was owned by her sister Frances Jackson, so she is very experienced in all aspects of the business.

A varied and extensive snack menu is featured along with homemade soups and homebaking which includes the Country Fayre meringues for which the business has long been famous.

Makeover

Maria told Comment: “It’s been a lot of hard work; we have completely redecorated and it’s really given the place a fresh spring look.

“The staff have been a fantastic help, getting the place ready to open. I can’t thank them enough.”

Country Fayre is now open 7 days, Monday to Saturday 10am-5pm and Sunday 10.30am-4pm.

“Drop in for a coffee and say hi,”she encouraged readers, “everyone will be made so welcome to check out the changes and try some our new eating choices”
