Jay's Colourful Career Makeover
A resident of over 30 years in Highland Perthshire, Jay Davidson lives in Blair Atholl with her partner Ian. Until last year she worked in Pitlochry Post Office. With the threat of closure hanging over the Post Office and the uncertainty over her job, Jay decided that the time was right to embark on a new career.
A conversation over coffee with a friend brought up the idea of going to college to train for something completely difference, so Jay contacted Perth College and got a prospectus. Looking down the list of courses, she came across Painting & Decorating and thought ‘I could do that’. |

So she began her 18 weeks intensive course and now, with her SQA Certificate in hand, has started up her own decorating business: painting, wall paper hanging, stencilling, stippling or rag rolling.
