The Old Smithy at 154 Atholl Road, Pitlochry has recently been taken over by a local business partnership, Ina and Sandy MacArthur (formerly of Acarsaid Hotel) and Pitlochry joiner Malcolm Hewitt.

The restaurant has had a make-over with fresh decoration inside and the front garden being tidied up to make the place more visable and welcoming.
The partners intend to close during the winter months for an extensive refurbishment, which will be in keeping with the character of the building.

The restaurant can cater for up to 60 people with outside seating for 30 (weather permitting). Ina is in charge in the kitchen and she told Comment: “The emphasis is on good, traditional Scottish fayre, and we will be using local fresh produce where possible.”
